Spiritual Sunday: Be Strong and Take Your Stand

Do you lack the courage to stand firm? Do you cave in easily in this power-hungry world full of trials and temptations.

Realising that our battle is not against flesh and blood, we are called to be strong in the Lord and take our stand.

We are not called forth to charge (because the war has been won) but simply to take our stand.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12

Spiritual Sunday: Empower me

Why do some of us not living victoriously as is intended by God?

Why do some still feel miserable and suffer cycles of defeat even though we are given the seal of the Holy Spirit upon our Salvation.

Why are we not experiencing the joy as promised?

It is because we have not been constantly filled with the Holy Spirit. To be filled with the Holy Spirit constantly is to abide in Christ, everyday.

It is a command and not a choice.

"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:18-20

A good way to start is:

To confess your Sin (we do not experience the fullness/filling of the Holy Spirit if we allow Sin to dwell in us) , read Bible passages aloud in your own quiet time and "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Stop & ask yourself!

1. Are you eating right every day? (Physical Well-being)

When you are hungry, you want to eat. But, are you eating right?

2. Do you receive the right emotional affirmation everyday? (Emotional Well-being)

When you are emotionally dried-up, you need affirmation and encouragement.

3. What are your priorities in Life?



We have to stop and take stock! To evaluate what is more important in our life and do more of that than mindlessly rushing to finish the Human Race.
